Chicago Avenue Stakeholders Meeting a Success

Over 40 business owners and commercial property owners attended the Chicago Avenue Stakeholders Meeting Thursday, August 11 at Sanctuary Place. Attendees received updates on the Chicago Avenue reconstruction, various arts and mural projects that are underway and on the Chicago Avenue Mural Project & Community Celebration coming on Saturday, August 20. Linda Delgado from Chicago Streets & Sanitation provided suggestions and tips for keeping our community clean. Police officer Garvice Robins provided tips on how to keep our community safe. Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr encouraged owners to take advantage of the Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) grant for building improvements and the other resources that the West Humboldt Park Development Council has to offer.
